whilst i sense some disappointment, it made me smile...!!
I remember these guys on the Banana Split Show in the UK in the early to mid 70's!!

This, of course, has no bearing whatsoever on the gameplay of this title...which I hold very little hope for.....

The show was friggin awsome; Dick Dastardly and Muttley in the Mean Machine 00 FTW!

I think this game wont be as much fun...

Just spent a little time playing it and as expected it's pretty poor. You just have no real sense of control and all the players just bunch together all the time. It's just pure luck if you win or loose as the only part of the race that matters is the mad dash at the end.

The DC game wasn't great but it was far better than this.

The kids used to watch this every morning a couple years ago so may find it amusing... but I don't expect them to play it more than once and only for a few minutes.

I could be wrong here but I will stick my neck out anyway, I dont think the Wakey Racers cartoon was ever in the Banana Split show http://bananasplits.4t.com/EpisodeGuideMain.html There was a The Banana Splits And Friends Show edited together later on but they were not in that either IIRC.

Trivia :- Did you know the voice of Fleegle was the same person who did Dick Dastardly, Tigger, Goober from Goober and the Ghost-Chasers and Gargamel from the Smurfs....... Paul Winchell...... He also invented an artificial heart with Dr Henry Heimlich....... look him up....

Wacky races was a classic cartoon, sadly the game looks like it sucks balls.

I remember dastardly and muttley chasing a pigeon every show for some reason too, singing "Stop the pigeon", a catchy little tune it was.

Ahh yes, "Dastardly & Muttley In Their Flying Machines" - classic stuff. Why Hanna Barbera kept flogging that dead Great Dane of a show Scooby Doo (especially Scrappy Doo) as opposed to making more Dastardly & Muttley is beyond me.
