Germany is not necessarily the definitively most important country in Europe. There's UK, France, Switzerland, could make a case for Russia... many to consider.

Whether Germany is the most relevant country in Europe ir not is irrelevant, and proves you've failed to see my point.

And, you're an idiot.

Now you're gonna start with argumentum ad-hominem. If you need to offend people to try to prove your point maybe you shouldn't be here.

I explainedexactly why it's called the "USA region". Whether you consider the justification valid or not doesn't matter in the fucking slightest, even if it was the dumbest reason ever.

If your reason os flawed, I have all the rights to point it out. You may not like it, but if you're not open for discussions why are you on a forum?

PS: A little respect would be good, this kind of attitude will get you nowhere.

I don't recall ever seeing USA on any official documentation for any game to be honest, aside from the NTSC/U designation to differentiate from NTSC/J. The only other examples I can think of is the Western release of SMB2 and Mystic Quest being called Super Mario USA and Final Fantasy USA respectively. Otherwise, it's usually denoted as NA for North America.

It very much is relevant, as it explains why the Europe region is NOT a "Germany region" - it does not have the same dominance on its continent as the US obviously does. Therefore, your rebuke doesn't actually work. What other point WERE you making, precisely? You just gave your crappy rebuttal and called my comment stupid.

It doesn't have the same dominance?
For god's sake, Germany is pretty much the one that makes the European Union work.
Germany is also the country with the biggest GDP in Europe.
The Euro was based on the German Mark, the European central bank is in Germany and the whole thing would fall apart without Germany.

Still it would be really idiotic to call Europe by Germany, it doesn't even make sense,
the same applies to your argument

Yes, but it's only a single small country in a sea of small countries, on a rather cramped piece of land. And, while it might be the biggest economy right now, the differences aren't all that big all things considered.
UK has had a higher GDP than Germany for YEARS.

Meanwhile, the US is, and definitely WAS one of the key superpowers in the world. Its population and GDP beats the other countries on the continent on a scale of 10:1.

Want to see the GDP chart of UK/France/Germany? Well, here you go:

Aaaand here's one for North American countries:

And I never said that calling the Americas region the "US" wasn't stupid because of this. It very well might be, but it's still the reason why people do it.

Americans think they are the only country worth to be called a country in America
theres also lot of americans who think Canada is a state of USA

Well... Actually they are lol. Geographically speaking at least. We separate them for political reasons mainly, but they're on the same plate. We call the whole thing Eurasia.
Except it isn't. Europe is Europe and Asia is Asia.

Like I said, it's a geographical name. Europe and Asia don't fulfill all the criterias of the geological definition of a continent. But together, they do, it's called a supercontinent. If you have sources and explanations telling the contrary, I would be very interested and happy to get corrected :)
