Gaming why some pirates are lazy?

Some pirates are lazy beacuse they happen to belong to the human race. /thread

PS: I mean, laziness is part of the human nature.

This pretty much. Whether pirate or not, there will always be lazy people. Hell, it isn't even limited to hacking consoles.

Cause the majority of pirates are noobs, who get games for free, that think their entitled to everything.
Stop spoonfeeding noobs.
They won't learn that way.

The thing here though, the 3DS costs quite a bit of money. I don't want to go into a rich/poor argument, but no one wants to willingly brick their console.
What I'm saying is that people rather want a second confirmation that they are doing things the right way, instead of risking to brick their console.
Also, not everyone is as adept at technology as someone else.

I finally ditched gateway completely today. I was afraid of having to convert saves, because I had heard it was a pain. however, it was surprisingly easy. I converted all my 3ds games to cia as well, so there's no reason to go back.

Lol, I said I didn't want to go into a rich/poor argument to avoid such a response. Guess it didn't help. Also, I didn't say anything about my situation, nor was I talking about myself but more in general.

And who are you to tell others what is justified or not? That is your point of view and you can't force that on others.
I can imagine a few examples where someone would rather pirate than buy the actual game.

• E.g. a poor family having just enough to buy a 3DS for their son, but not enough to buy the games.

• Or what about games that are only released in one region and not others?

• Let's not forget that you and I live in a first world country, but not everyone has that privilege.

well i don't see any downside to piracy is illegal but you don't get caught so its like doing some thing legal where noting will happen so people do it anyways and it will never stop the best way to stop piracy is to make some thing better then it and it still won't stop it all of it

Some people DO get caught, even if their involvement in the scene is almost unexistent. Don't tempt your luck.

And also, i don't get why people feel the neccesity to justify what they're doing with their consoles. Keep in mind that copyright infringement is still illegal, regardless of your economic situation or opinions on the matter.

the people who get caught are the uploaders or torrenters who don't use seedbox or vpn they don't go after the downloaders since the uploaders are giving it to the whole world the downloader is just putting it on his computer and it would not help to go after them

And some even are proud of having dumped a ROM or any material of some sort, so they attach their usernames and pseudonames with such content. Is like having a big bag on your head with the message: "Kick me plox".

well some uploaders put passwords on their uploaded files and use mega so its impossble to know its pirated content or not with out having the password and it would take ages to crack

Depends. Some downloaders do get caught. There are enough examples of those in the USA alone, all of which got mega-fine for downloading a few songs.

While I agree that infringement is illegal (really, there isn't anything to disagree with), you can still justify pirating.
Just because a law exists which makes it illegal, doesn't automatically mean you can't justify against that law.

killing someone is illegal.
But what if it was in self defense? Say someone pulled a knife on you and you decide to defend yourself. In the heat of the moment you manage to unarm him and stab your attacker. He later dies in the hospital from blood loss
Illegal? Yes.
Justified? You decide.

thats why some people put passwords on the zip file of downloaded stuff and use mega since thats two layers for encryption and it can't be told if its pirated or not unless some one has the decyption key and the password both would take millions of years to crack and naming the file to some thing like my birthday party video would also make it hard to tell if its also encypted so the only way they can find out is to find the pirate site that has the password and download link on it and they would also have to make an account
