I only played rayman 2 one time and after reading all the bad reviews i almost didn't get rayman 3ds. but after playing it i think its fun so why all the bad reviews

Don't base your opinions on what the critics say UNTIL you've tried it for yourself. Nuff said. If you enjoyed that game, play it, don't sit there and hate it cuz someone else is bagging it. I'm a CoD fan but there are so many CoD haters on here it's not even funny.

I loved Rayman 3D, and got all 1000 lums (although the last lum freezes the game, and doesn't register in the count). Despite some awkward 3D glitches and ghosting, I found the game's visuals to age very well. I'm a big fan of platformers, and would like to see a Banjo Kazooie game on the 3DS. I'm glad you decided to buy Rayman and liked it. It's a shame if someone misses out on a good game due to others' opinions.

It's simple. There is a lot of uneducated people everywhere. Those same person came to the conclusion that it was a bad game because Rayman is a port/remake.

Rayman is not a game that appeals to me, BUT I tried it and I enjoyed it very much. Not just my type to finish.

I've tried Rayman a few times, and I've never been able to enjoy it, it doesn't appeal to me at all...plus the character design's a bit rubbish, well..to me...and a lot of other people by the looks of things.

Because it's the 10th (TENTH!!!) version of the same game, released at full price.

yes and it has a really bad framerate!

but all in all most reviews said exactly this:

+great game
+funny story

+/- Usage of 3D is sometimes very good, sometimes just very annoying (butterflies in foreground for ex.)

- graphics from 2000
- very bad framerate

Yep, bad framerate would kiil it for me, even though it's one of my all-time favorite platformers

I for one love Rayman 2:TGE but I tried this game out on the 3DS and even though I think the graphics are still beautiful and the 3D was great as well the framerate killed it for me as well. I think it is more essential for a developer to get permanent 30fps then having beautiful visuals!

On Origins: I think I`m one of the few people who actually aren`t looking forward to it that much. The emphasis on silliness and co-op-gameplay is putting me off somehow. I`m still going to try it for either 3DS, PS3 or Wii...

Reviewers are just annoyed for the same reason mentioned above. I never played the original, so if it goes down to 15$ I'm going to try it. It's already down to 20, so I shouldn't have to wait too much longer.

the only real problem for me was that it seems to be a direct port without any updates. the gfx although not bad suffer from the limitations of the original game, such as flat 2d textures in places where 3 objects would be better, like thorny bushes and vines for climbing on. The gameplay wan't too bad at all.

Played it for the first time on my 3DS, I can't see why it's a bad game either. If you've never played it before, it's fantastic. Great gameplay, looks nice. I really didn't notice any bad frame rates, so I'm not too sure what everyone's talking about either. It's not the best game ever made, but it's definitely a great game.

I bought Rayman 3D, without really ever playing Rayman and I enjoyed it.

However, it does deserve bad reviews. Like someone said before, it is the 10th version of the game, and they took out some things from the Dreamcast/N64 version. The flying level, you are suppose to ride sideways and they took out background stuff like the stream. No big changes, but the 3DS is obviously stronger than the N64. The should be able to make the game run better if anything....

The game is like 10 or 11 years old. Ubisoft has to let it go. It was one of their only great games, and they can't milk it anymore.

Yes! I would love that!

OMG that would be fookin ace!

OMG that's not gonna happen. Microsoft owns Rare. The fact that there was even a (sub-par) Banjo Kazooie game on the GBA is astounding. Microsoft lets Rare develop certain games for the handheld market, but that's about it. Both of the N64 Banjo Kazooie games are on the Xbox Live Marketplace, so they will never see the light of day on a non-Microsoft console for a very long time, if ever. They also released what wasn't a very good third game exclusively on the 360 Marketplace that isn't that fantastic. Banjo Kazooie has just kind of been left to rot.

Oh yeah! I didn't realise Microsoft bought it out
