Can someone please tell me why is it not tuesday 85.7142857% of the time in a week instead of the 14.2857142% of time in a week that it usually is
Same reason the rest of the days aren't here 85.7142857% of the time. (this is also going into my signature btw)Can someone please tell me why is it not tuesday 85.7142857% of the time in a week instead of the 14.2857142% of time in a week that it usually is
because if every day was monday you would bitch about the first monday and love the 5th, 6th and 7th mondaysthe real question is why inst it the weekend all the time... fucking mondays
*speechless*This a) presumes the length of the day is fixed, it is not as the earth varies in spin speed. http://www.nasa.gov/centers/goddard/news/topstory/2003/0210rotation.html
b) you are observing it from a single location. https://what-if.xkcd.com/48/ for a variation on the theme, or in this case start in the furthest time zone (14 hours ahead of GMT I believe to put you in the Kiritimati, Christmas Island at the start and then via a trip you could end up in Baker Island which is 12 hours behind GMT)
c) you are not doing anything fun with relativity and time dilation. In fact you could probably measure it on the trip you would be taking if you had an atomic clock.
