The Analog Stick was invented by Sega for NiGHTS. Why does nobody know this?I'm not pointing out who invented the analog stick. I'm pointing out that Nintendo had it first.

Well if we're getting that specific, Sony had an analog stick on a handheld before Nintendo did, so it wins

"First analog stick", "first controller featuring an analog stick", "first regular controller featuring an analog stick", "first handheld console featuring an analog stick"... let's not slice it too thinly, it's going nowhere.

Bottom line is, Atari had it first, everyone else came in second.

It is Hilarious! Metal Gear started on Nintendo, online play, motion controls, 3D rendering, 3D play, you name it! Nintendo was first to have most of what is popular in the gaming world today. It is the only true "original" company.

Here's a list of things that Nintendo had before Sony:
Analog - N64
3D polygonal graphics - SNES
3D depth effects - 3DS
Rumble - N64
4-button (and shoulder button) configuration - SNES
4-controller configuration - N64 (or SNES if you include the multitaps available)
Motion control - Wii
Online play - SFC (SNES in Japan. Although all consoles have online play now)
Game consoles - Magnavox Odyssey (Nintendo had the rights for this in Japan. But this was obvious, as even the SNES came out before the PlayStation)

Also, my Dragon32 (in 1982) had analog sticks - that must mean it is better than an n64 and a psx combined!

Didn't metal gear start on the MSX? Online play in the "gaming world" didn't originate with Nintendo either, although they were the first to offer it on a console.
