Trust me, this SX OS vs free CFW situation is just a PTSD flashback to the Gateway vs free CFW situation.
The only thing left to do is have Atmosphere release, and branch off into two separate groups, both of whom think their free CFW is better than the other.
Not that I agree with him, but the whole subject is not really worth it that much. We are talking about piracy, people making wild accusations without any actual facts (the emunand banning people instantly for example), and many getting really weird about TX with what seems to be just a grudge that is getting more and more obnoxious every day. You have to admit there is no shortage of non-fact based argument floating around, and too many jumping on every opportunity take a crap on TX. It really does seem like a circle jerk from where I am standing.
When SX OS gets busted wide open (like a crack or something like that). Most likely their features (emuNAND, xci loading and others) will most likely get stolen by other people. Its only a matter of time! May not happen in 5 hours (tm). But I am almost certain that it's going to be busted wide open by the end of 2018.
I bought SX OS, and love everything they've delivered to us thus far. They're doing amazing work, utilizing public code. Fuck ethics, as long as the shit works.
I think they do, when you could use tinfoil to install NSP files obivously they became popular on the warez sites and XCI files decreased a bit, but looking at the warez sites now they are listing XCI files with the NSP version.
I prefer XCI files than NSP files

I guess people hate TX because they stole codes from others then proclaimed SXOS as revolutionary - and making money from it. What seems like unscrupulous behaviour to the West is very common in China. They will imitate or copy whatever is successful and hope to achieve the same result. Often the result is hilarious from the perspective of a Westerner, their clone product is poor quality and not up to standard. However, I've use SXOS - it's not the greatest thing but it's good. Maybe one day it will end up like Gateway but I really don't care.
But then it's gonna be weird when they steal something else a day after it comes out....
Ok, here is exactly how this happen:
1. SX release, people buy it and to feel secure about their purchase, mocking other for cracking it. Other hate them for being cocky and for profit on (assumely) stolen community work.
2. Gateway flashback. Hacker try to looking for brick code to take those cocky bastard down. Holy shit, it is actually there, lol. Shit storm happen. SX buyer start damage control. Say it safe if you don't mess with it. Other throw shit at it just to get back at those cocky bastard.
3. Word of new CFW spreading around. SX buyer start feel the heat in their pant. Try to justify their buy by saying "at least we have it first" while still protect for brick code. Mocking other for waiting when nothing delivered. Tension start as Atsmostphere keep getting delayed and SX buyer keep getting cockier by the day.
4. Brick code remove. Other: "okay, that good but you should do it from the start, now let talk about stolen code". SX boi: "How that crack coming along, hmm? Did you, did you get there yet, hmm? Bet that xci run really nice on Atmostphere, hmm? Yeah, thought so."
5. ReiNX happen. Shit when down the gutter. SX buyer sudden got quiet. Other too busy to finally pirate game for free but still have some time to laugh at SX boi. SX buyer can only weakly fight back "but muh xci". Everyone agree no reason to buy SX anymore.
6. Civil war end, back to present day. SX boi still hanging their confederate flag and feel proud of their founding father. SX still stolen shit. "How many time do I need to teach you this lesson, old man".
7. Emunand happen. SX cheer for SX beeing relevant again. "Where is your emunand huh, ReiNX peasant?". SX come up with original code? Bullshit. Investigate show a cardboard box with "not anything supicious" in the internal hard drive. Lol, are you kidding me? Nintendo will see this shit and ban you. Still no one got ban.
And we arrive at the today, SX still coccky for their full proof emunand while other waiting patiently to laugh at them yet again.

While i do agree with you on the non facts thing, you have to agree that the TX fans are doing the same thing, taking every opportunity they can to jump and attack the "haters" to the point of trying to deny established facts. While, yes, the "haters" have spread a lot of toxicity but so have the TX "fans"
What part was unclear lol? That's the most succinct breakdown of FOSS Master Race vs. Team SuX I've ever read.
I really hope that is sarcasm, because that was the most broken, ass backwards set of scenarios I've ever read that is barely understandable.

We can help you understand if only you'd acually specify what you don't understand...
I recall it taking around 2 years. And there are plenty of people in the 3DS scene who have never heard of the Gateway so I don't think what I previously said is an exaggeration of any sorts. Plus, Gateway cost more than a single 3DS game so you only got your bang for your buck if you pirated at least 2 games.
Windows isn't a better package. Windows is in a unique situation where because they were first, they had the most support, users and programs. Because of that, more users buy their product and therefore more programs prioritize developing for it. It's a cycle where even if it's a worse os, the fact it started with a bigger userbase means companies will always focus on supporting it over linux, the better os. That's the only real advantage to windows, far more programs and games support it, which isnt because it's well designed, it's because it was first.
