Homebrew Why do we need DSVideo/Lmp-Ng if we got the sd card?

I am just curious why do we need DSVideo which only plays .dsv and lmp-ng which only plays .mp3 if our dsi can already play .m4a, .mp4, .3gp, and .aac files for sound through the sd card?

o.0...DSVideo was made before the DSi...and the DSi fails at a majority of the media, so of course there would be DSVideo and Lmp-Ng.

Sort of...maybe. I don't have a DSi. Homebrew is definitely more versatile than the DSi.

DSi has better sound quality output. Because when DSi goes to DS mode.. the capabilities of DS is being applied on the loaded cart.

Means you have 33khz sound with crappy static sound. In short, don't expect too much on it. the sound quality is not that good.

in DSi mode.. the sound is operational at 44-48khz if im not mistaken.. so the sound quality would be far good than any multimedia homebrew that you can load on DS today.. (since no multimedia homebrews that yet utilize the DSi power)

So are u saying that the SD Card is better? or Homebrew?

lulz. you are talking as if DSi Sound plays videos. While showing the video. Not just playing the sound.

Homebrew aint that bad.. it just do what DS hardware can do. But in this case.. if you would like to listen some music, i prefer you to use DSi player, else like you would like to watch videos or something, use some sort of homebrews to make it possible.
