Homebrew why do people play ds games on ds emulators?

there are a lot of games for the ds. a gamer cant just be attracted to one game and one game only. for reals though, 129.99 or 169.99 is a good deal. just pay it and you dont have to buy any games considering you're getting a flash cart.

besides, playing with the stylus is better than with the mouse. imagine playing TWEWY with the mouse. slowness

Well having a tablet or touch screen PC is good. I win.

I also found out that using a PC mic than the DS's mic is better in Nintendogs

Boring intros? You can use turbo.

Tell that to the "hardcore gamers" who think PSP>>>>....>>> DS because they have more "Harcore" games and better graphics. Some fanboys were even commenting on how Scribblenauts will suck when it got all the attention at E3. So its most likely that they are attracted to the more "Hardcore" games or a part of a series that they are hooked on. So they wouldn't waste a hundred+ dollars for something that they won't play much. And maybe some may see some games got a cool concept and want to play it, but not the other games.

And can't imagine palying TWEWY with the mouse, cos playing it on the DS already sucked.

I'll give you my number one reason to play on an emu vs. on a real ds...Screen Size.

I hate squinting at that tiny screen, it hurts my eyes. I played Castlevania Portrait of Ruin on a DS and after 6-7 hours of play ( I had to give it back and I wanted to finish the game) my eyes were literally blurry for the next 2 hours and they hurt from straining that long at that tiny screen.

I love the fact Nintendo made the Super Gameboy and the Gameboy Player (for SNES and GC respectively) I played the GBC Pokemon games on my N64 on my TV. If I had the money I would buy a PSP 2000 because of the Video Out function it has to play games on a TV and enjoy myself.

So that's my reason, legit enough I'd say. I for one would not buy a handheld system that didn't have that ability to play on a TV because the screens are too small and not worth ruining my eye sight for a game.

there's a lot of homebrew. it's best to try it on emu before put it in real DS. even if there's a virus it's never touch your DS because an antivirus is anticipating for it. also, an emu is best for they who not have a DS yet.

DS emulators are useful for creating cheat codes, testing ROMs and as a substitute for a real DS. There will come a day when the hardware is no longer sold and the emulator will be all people have to play the games on unless they hunt down a DS somewhere 2nd-hand. We can only hope that by the time the DS is done, the emulators for it will be up to snuff. Because at least as far as the DS goes, the emu's for it aren't so great yet.

There's lots of games that runs real awesome, not everything needs the touch screen anyways. Not to mention save state possibilities, games like phoenix wright, all the ds megaman games, pokemon, both platform kirbys, and bleach to name a few, are good to go.

Many games are playable, especially the story-based ones. I beat Yugioh 2008, Layton, and the first Phoenix Wright on No$GBA because I didn't have a flash cart at the time.

It's definitely far from perfect, but for those who don't want to buy a DS, it's a fair option.

And like the cheat crew said already, emulators have great code-making capabilities.
