Homebrew why do people play ds games on ds emulators?

why do they play it? are they poor to not afford a ds with flash cart?

ds emulators still dont play games at 100% speed plus it cant do wifi and i assume it cant do microphone capability.

Idk, i mean you can play unlimited games, and Its basicly free, i don't use it.. but you need to use Emulators to make AR codes

Not everyone wants a DS. They may have a PSP and just want to play DS games occassionally on No$GBA or something like that.

And I heard my friend say that you can use a microphone.

The "hardcore" gamers think otherwise.

Edit: And also, they may just be attracted to some games, so buying the device for a hundred dollars seems unjustified.

actually while making cheat codes via emulator, only a few games that i encountered we have a major slowdown

however, what i see often is graphic glitches
voice and music it always works to perfection on my side


DS a great system to buy? that depends on whether they are willing to PAY for it

yup, like a few of my friends, they are just happy to play games on their emulator. As for me, i just buy mine just so i can clear phantom hourglass, i know this sounds stupid, but hey, to each his own.

emulation for some people is a craft to create and design as well as serves as a base for problem solving (in the form of reverse engineering). And its also a way to preserve the past. People don't like to forget so its another way of saving a memory...to recall for later use. Also an emulator cannot be easily consumed by wear and tare of the physical material that is required to run the great software/game. The emulator can be copied..try copying a real DSi. This becomes even more important when computers get smaller and cheaper....When you can run a ds emulator or whatever on a device smaller than a netbook but the power of a nice desktop++. The Psp DSi and other mobile handhelds are evolving, and there will always be the original and new ones to come for the genuine experience if so desired. But atleast we will have an option to run it on a generic platform. Choices are good.

I thought the main point of the DS was that it's portable... I don't want to be tied to my computer to play a DS game... How rigid and uncomfortable...

Most people here (or a lot of other places) are too damn tight to buy the games they play so people on an emulator are just taking it to the next level and being too damn tight to buy the hardware either.

there are a lot of games for the ds. a gamer cant just be attracted to one game and one game only. for reals though, 129.99 or 169.99 is a good deal. just pay it and you dont have to buy any games considering you're getting a flash cart.

besides, playing with the stylus is better than with the mouse. imagine playing TWEWY with the mouse. slowness

In somecases its better but fps games is much better played with a mouse than a stylus.
