If you can't use Devolution for some reason (piracy/broken disc drive/scratched discs/whatever), you have another option, which is to use DIOS-MIOS, which does not have any anti-piracy protection. It gives you all the same features as running a GameCube disc on a Wii in GameCube mode would, and as of right now, it pretty much has all the same features as Devolution. You are not being "punished" or "held back" in any way. It's just that, perhaps, Devolution is a program that was not designed for you, and since the author has not once come in here to defend his anti-piracy stance, it appears that any "argument" against it is worthless.
