Maybe people are being too harsh here... what if the program is just telling you that it is time to start fresh. That's a feature, not something to whine about....
Just reminded me Apple. It is a feature, not a bug.
We have to wait some more for this hdd wipe thing though. Hope it is not true.
I have stopped replying to AP defenders for some time, because it is really just a waste of time. Some pages ago someone said the author is not a company, is a person. So i shouldn't criticize him. I am just laughing at the logic.
I had never guessed there would be so many AP (or DRM, say whatever pleases you) defenders on a site focused on homebrew. I can now understand why e-books are DRMed, PC games are even urging you to connect to internet for single player campaigns (Diablo III). Even on a site focused on homebrew, AP measures can be defended so widely. Big companies have the rights to stop us using our purchased content (hardware or software) in the way we please, as long as we are so accustomed to being treated like we just borrowed the thing, not bought.
I know this software is free, but it doesn't mean i can't criticize the author's decision. I know i will get the same answer as "don't use it then", just to inform you, i am not using it. Just like i am not buying DRMed content whenever possible, and even if it is not possible i gladly remove the DRM.
And about the ebay prices of gamecube games, it doesn't matter. It can be 1 dollar or 100 dollars, i am criticizing the logic of putting an AP measure on a homebrew (which in itself relies on a way to circumvent AP thus booting unsigned code on a console)
