Hacking White light?

I didn't document it but I remember my 3ds what closed I believe it was on smash bros, and there was a small white light going through a small hole on the gateway red chip! I'm wondering what this means as I cant find anything about the subject and has only happened once!!

There's an led on the Gateway. Was used for diagnostics before the gui. Was probably that, don't know why it was on though.
