Most of the Pokemon spinoff games (Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, etc) suck. The only good ones I know of are the puzzle games and the card game.

Personally, Gold and Silver. They took everything that rocked about the first game, gave it 100 new Pokemon, significantly better graphics, and made the game a lot longer. It's probably the acme of Pokemon games.

Got the most enjoyment out of Blue and The Card Game, but then that's possibly more because of when in my life they came out rather than them being the best games of the series.

I always thought G/S/C were the best, but the improvements in later games still make them good. When the remakes of G/S come out they will be my favorite

I think I enjoyed Blue the most, because it timed well with my interest in Pokemon, and my friends interest in Pokemon. By the time gold/silver came around people were losing interest, although it was still an awesome game.

Very much looking forward to the remakes of G/S though.

I don't know why everyone likes gold and silver so much?
It's just like the rest of the games after the original ones.
I will say the best ones are Blue and Red.
Simply because it was the first pokemon game which I really finished unlike the rest that never got my attention after a while.

silver was easily my favorite. I first got yellow and it was good, and i didnt want to play a new one cause i loved all the old pokemon. But silver was awesome. and it is still my favorite.

I dont know much about the older games (besides gold and the emerald lot)

But some of the pokemon platinum hacks are cool.

Im playing pokemon platinum enhanced edition 1.5 at the mo.(its hilarious)

But im holding my breath for Pokemon parallel platinum. Check it out HERE

It has an all new storyline, you can play as edward from fullmetal alchemist and one of the starter pokemon is a awesome FULLMETAL PIKACHU-check it out on p10 of the thread i linked

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
