Where would be the best place to learn Programming?

I'm already learning Visual Basic (at school), but I want to learn some other programming languages as well. Which website as good tutorials on programming?

What languages are most DS homebrews made with?

DS homebrew is written in C/C++ (I don't remember which, it could be both). However, those languages are extremely hard to learn, so I would recommend learning Python before getting into C/C++. Alternately, you can run Lua code on a DS with an interpreter I forgot the name of, and Lua is pretty easy.

if you have the discipline you can get some books and try to teach yourself...but if you are like me then a structured school like environment might do you well.....I'm gonna take classes at my college.

That is a site for c++. Other languages are much more difficult than visual basic.

Where I learned C/C++ ( Used for DS Programming mostly ) is 3DBuzz.com. This is by far the best site I have ever come by.

homebrew is written in C (since C++ takes up too much memory).
but you can start with C++ and understand most of C still.

If you want to develop strictly Windows Desktop apps I'll recommend C#.
