So I've got a trinity slim that's got a DG-16D4S and I'd like to get homebrew running on it.

What would I need to do and what might I need to get?

Get a Ace v3 and a NAND reader (NAND-X or JRProgrammer)
If you want to be fancy, get a TX DemoN for Live capabilities.

I’ve seen a v5 ace chip. Are those fakes/clones? Seems v3 is recommended everywhere else.

I've installed a v5 once and it worked fine, I still recommend v3 just cause I always did tbf ;p
@brickmii82 knows more about the Ace chips then me.
