if you're in the states, check bestbuy.com for deals as well. I picked up 2 2GB sandisk micro sd cards for 84usd including shipping. they were having a sale with 20% off all of their mobile phone accessories (which a micro sd card is considered) when you ordered 2 or more items.

Meritline.com has Kingston 1GB MicroSD (SDC/1GB) for $9.99 shipped. I ordered 2 of them on Monday and received them Thursday afternoon.

Thats such a rip off. You can get a 2GB microSD for $22-25 shipped after rebate.

I know, BestBuy or any giant commercial electronics store is a rip off. My Bestbuy has 1gb cards for $80. And I think they are Taiwan.

Some small computer shops have them for cheap though. My local one sells them for $20.

I use newegg.com (since 2002) for 90% of the electronics I buy. I just recently ordered 4 Kingston 1GB MicroSD cards and it cost me $47 shipped and arrived in 2 days. There were all Kingston Japan too!

I was considering buying from newegg but after reading their reviews it was a 50/50 chance you would get a Japan microsd. So I opted to buy it from ebay where I could email the seller and ask if it was a Japan model or not.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
