I got a transparent-purple one with a library of games from my bro.
But since that was second-hand, I got a new, solid purple one, with Bomberman Adventures and a Dragon Ball Z RPG.

Transparent purple GBA, and my first game was MegaMan Battle Network 3 White. I played that game multiple times, even when the save corrupted on me 3 times. Now I own a Gameboy micro with EZFlash IV. I still love the GBA titles.

I grabbed a purple pre-owned one for about £80, this wasn't that long after launch, maybe a month after so very good deal.

It came with a magnifying screen with lights which kinda sucked but necessary for playing in sunlight., F-Zero: Maximum Velocity & Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2...very very good games indeed! For me the back catalog of the GBA is so much better than what the DS ever offered but then I feel that the GBC was better than DS as well. The variety in games was just top notch, the GBA was not left wanting in any department...I mean the GBA even had a great Ghostrider game!

I had the clear, purple one.

I remember having Mario Kart, Sonic Advance 1,2, and 3, Super Mario 3, Some Wario game (Don't remember which one), WarioWare (The tilting one), some shitting ATV game, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, and Sonic Advance Battle or whatever it was called.

I think that's about it. I also had an e-reader and a Sonic movie.
