Hacking When I try to update the update just cancels

When I go to update my Acekard 2i and there's the blue screen, that tells you to push start to proceed or any other button to cancel, it just tells me at the bottom that the update was canceled and to reboot my DS. I made sure that I have the one that updates from the DSi (which is what I have) and I even tried to redownload the update and I still get the same thing. I'm on AKAIO 1.8.7. I also tried formatting my SD card and it still does the same thing...

Updater told me what revision my Acekard was though. Would it still do that for a fake cart? And I've updated it many times before. Could it be because I bricked my Acekard last time I updated it like this and had to reflash it?

Use the non-AKAIO firmware from the Acekard website temporarily to run the update file. It should work then. Afterwards, switch back to AKAIO to play your games.

Thank you! It didn't let me upate from the older firmware but right after I put on the AKAIO it worked and updated(:
