When are you buying the Switch 2?

The other one also won't get much use. It's always play for a few days then keep it for some years. It's hard to say how long, maybe until your grand children accidentally discover it.

In priority:
1) Heavy discount, not sure which amount (similar to what happened with the Wii U when that was flopping early-mid life)
2) New Switch 2 OLED Pro

I'm not even sure if a hack is as much of an incentive as it once was, especially as I'd only use it for the odd exclusive.

Backups are good, especially if you want to use some E-Shop content and the other console is banned. Also there's a second set of JoyCons 2 included and they look comfortable to play with adult hands this time around.

UK retailers have been doing pre-pre-orders so it's a bit weird. There's a chance actual launch day stock is already gone before official pre-orders open.

I hope to get Switch 2 on launch day. Thing is, I am in the US, specifically in Iowa. In Iowa and Illinois, there is a locally owned and operated game store chain that has about 7 stores between the 2 States, where I have a "pre-order". I say that in quotes because I don't really know what will happen. The store I went to near where I live took only 10 pre-orders as they wanted people who were/are seriously interested in purchasing the System, and that was before the current situation here in the US. Out of the 10, mine was #6. Currently, I have about $530 down on the Mario Kart bundle that I paid pre-tariff situation, and another $502 in store credit to combat the US Tariffs. Not sure what will happen, but am hoping for the best...
