When are you buying the Switch 2?

If the bundle didn't cost too much more then that was the better deal, as you can just resell it.

I'm all done buying Switch 2.

- NS2 W/MKW (gonna sell the code)
- GCN Controller
- Carrying Case (W/ Free Screen Protector)
- Rear cover for the Switch 2

And a game... Capcom Fighting Collection 2 (May 16).

Having a console (or 2) on launch is an investment lol, it's always beneficial to have a console on the earliest FW

I'm debating if I want to nerd out and go pick mine up at Gamestop midnight launch or wait til business hours. I also have a standard version coming from Nintendo too.

Last time I did the midnight launch was when GTA V came out for the 360 lol.

I've got 2 ordered and I'm planning to have some fun. I wouldn't expect any kind of mod for this system though for quite a long time which how they are handling this.

I might buy one launch day, might buy one when a hack is found, or maybe I'll buy one 2 years after it's been launched. Whenever I feel like it. Probably when it goes on sale? Even when a hack is found it won't be helpful if there's no ban prevention.

With what we are seeing it is looking extremely likely that this thing is not getting modded for a long while.

Hardware discount days seem over, probably a cheaper Lite 2 in 3-4 years. Even regular Switch/OLED didn't drop in price, and during deals, they pack it with a digital code for Mario Kart 8

If they had done a Zelda Switch Lite OLED Edition I'd have bought one such a missed opportunity to have the best of both worlds.

So for NS2... It'll take years until we see an OLED and/or Lite models. Hopefully the launch NS2 units are solidly built to last for years to come (I already have a case, screen protector, and rear cover.

I'll be playing Capcom Fighting Collection 2 on it and Paleo Pines.

By the way, for the love of God, the eShop better not be a chore to browse like it was on NS1 (I'll initially keep it offline so won't use eShop but still).

Crazy gen, where console prices increased instead of being discounted, both my PS5 and Series X were around $250 each, open boxes from Best Buy (2021-2022)

I played it on a Nintendo Event yesterday. I was not impressed. Same for my girlfriend (and she is an avid user). It was all underwhelming.

Mario Kart World feels and plays as Mario Kart 8. Yeah the track is now one long track and not laps. And 24 players is okay but that is about it. I played Civilization 5 with the mouse, the mouse was okay but that is all I can say, feels gimmicky, the loading took forever. Also the game Drag x Drive is weird. You are controlling someone in a wheelchair but it's also Rocket League. Very strange. You need two joy-cons in mouse mode for this. You use them like you would controlling a wheelchair, felt really bad and gimmicky.

I played Cyberpunk 2077 and Yakuzo, both ran not great. It felt slow and framedropping galore. I did not play Zelda because that game is still awfull, ugly and empty. Donkey Kong is just Super Mario Oddysey but with Donkey Kong. Feels like a mod.

Jamboree TV will get neighbours angry, with all that screaming you need to do in some mini-games. You need to scream so loud, it's insane. Weird choice for a mini-game imo.

The screen is okay, I guess, for LCD. The weight of the Switch 2 is fine. It's a little heavier but not insanely. The new Pro controller is nice but not that different, buttons on the back are new. All in all, it was fun to see the Switch 2 early but nothing groundbreaking. I went home rather quickly, because it was so meh.

All this did made us decide to cancel the pre-order and wait for like a year or so, to see if something good comes out or there is a reason to buy it. And I heard more people say this after the event on the way out.

Really? Drifting in MKW looks like it's not as effective as it was in MK8. Please let me know.

Super Mario Galaxy 3

We've been waiting for Galaxy 3 since the Wii U days, but personally I just want Odyssey 2. I absolutely loved the first one (after finishing it there was nothing else to do or collect).
