I'm going to permanently install an Xbox in my car to be played on my head unit . I obviously need to secure it so it doesn't rattle and scratch up the discs, so I'm going to build a wooden frame, then pad the inside with foam material so it sits nice and snug.
Airflow is my biggest concern. The system will sit horizontally, so obviously I'll cut a hole on the top for the exhaust. I have no clue where the intake is at though, so do I need to leave any other part of the system uncovered? I'm thinking about just putting one strip of wood on both sides to keep it secure, would that give the system enough breathing room? I don't want to suffocate the 360, but at the same time it has to stay secure...
