therefor a good suggest would be making a checklist for it and make votes in the different translations and sort them by percentange towards priority.
atleast a suggestion that might work

I'm really sick of people who can't do any technical ROM work or translate Japanese making these obscene requests for translations. It's a lot of bloody work and hackers/translators will work on games that they want to do when they want to do it. Instead of putting up annoying topics like this people should learn how to hack or translate. You people don't really know what you're asking for.

And if you request a "Jap" translation it doesn't make me want to help you.

Blue Dragon Plus :/ Wanna play it but also understand the story ^^

Yeah cause this isn't coming out in English at all.

EDIT: I thought my posts would merge.

Anyway, if you're not rom hacking or translating, don't ask what games people want translated - you can't do it, there's no point in asking. Don't request games that will come out in English anyway. Search before you request - many of the games you asked for have already looked at and can't be ROM hacked well enough to do a translation.

Especially when they say "I need ____" or "thanks in advance". It's so incredibly rude.

This, though, I don't think anyone who might use it here intends it as a pejorative term. Most of the people making translation requests are probably too young to know much about WWII.

Taiko no Tatsujin 2, Oh yes, I LOVE that game.

EDIT: wait a minute, you can play that game without a translation... NVM.

I'd Go for DokiDoki Majo Shinpan 2. (just cuz, yaknow? XP)

They're too young to remember slavery too but they avoid those terms. Anyway, I'm just speaking for me - I am not likely to help people that throw racist terms around, even if it is just ignorance.

Anyway, you're right and I agree with you - it's really rude.

Mmmmm more than asking for others to do the translation, You should investigate, Read some tutorials of rom editings and hackings, And ask FOR HELP, Don't for "PLEASE SOMEONE DO", Remember that if you ask for a translation maybe you will have to contribute in that........ Have modals, Remember who the ones who translate are people to.... Well i just have to said it...

i would like a translation for "Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch", at least for items, geass coices and names.
of course i would help if somone start it, i could start by myself but its too much work for a single person.

Is this game any good? Post some screenshots.
And I used to translate games on my own for quite many months without even knowing Japanese.

Super Robot Taisen W
-Better Menu
-Script
-Attack Names + Descriptions
-Full Menu + Descriptions
-Items Names + Descriptions

Do all those and u get a 100% Trans =D (most things are already done for you in GameFaqs)

The hard thing is putting the actual text back in the rom, not translating it.

Writing a reasonable text compressor/inserter is way easier than translating 3,2mb of text referencing about 20 different series.

And there, my friends, is the attitude keeping me from ever getting involved in the thankless work of fan translating (sa1amandra's insane request already was irritating, but KiC's attitude perfectly captures why I won't get involved in one remarkable sentence).

It didn't used to be like this. Back when I was newbie, when people were translating the SNES RPGs, people weren't like this - groups worked on what they wanted and those of us without any skills kept our mouths shut and were thankful when stuff came out or when people put work in.

People with far more knowledge about ROM hacking than me have said that SRW has some weird compression making it hard to insert the English text. While it may generally be easier to write a compressor (I don't know, but it doesn't seem likely) it's not in this case. In comparison, to me, the translation seems much more straight forward (the text OBVIOUSLY has an answer, the compression doesn't necessarily - and anyone with enough Japanese knowledge to translate the game knows enough Japanese people to be able to ask about questions - there's no guarantee the compression problem has an answer). Plus you're not writing something from scratch - you're trying to hack a ROM where you don't have the original code AND the original programmer has zero incentive to make it easy for you (and frankly has some incentive in making it hard for the game to be modified).

In short, if it's so easy, KiC, get English text into SRW yourself and I'm sure people, myself included, will be lining up to do the translation.
????!!

are you using a proxy server to view websites?
had to remove http://1.2.3.12/bmi/ from all the image urls to see them properly.

and KiC, include an ips patch so people can confirm it's real and not just a photoshopped image.
