What to do on a first first date?

Grab a couple of home movies and maybe have a meal in. Half way through the second movie make a comment like "god, this movie is boring we might as well be having sex." This will be followed by a strange look followed by a shrug or an ok. Spend the rest of the night having sex.

Tip! If you are male try to organise the date at her house. If you are the same gender then it probably doesn't matter whose house.

Note! If you're still living at home with your parents please ignore this advice.

I prefer doing casual things on a first date so I wont get too nervous, usually going out for drinks or maybe lunch or something. I dont know why people would go to a movie theater on a first date, you should get to know your date not just sit there and stare at a screen.
Ok, you guys are aware im 16 right ._.

Hey guys, it may be the fact im typing this late, or that im just fucking stupid, but what kind of stuff did you guys do for your first date, and I mean THE First date. Im curisus because instead of hearing it from others who were friggn studs mckick-ass in high school (brothers >_>), I could hear it from other greeky peeps.

Also, im not flat-out asking for advice (Though it is appreciated). I just want to get an idea of how not to fuck up from others mistakes.
Sorry just having a laugh.

Seriously though.
Keep it simple, see a movie, go to the fair, have a meal somewhere it doesn't really matter.
For god sake be yourself. Don't force anything or try to put on a show.
Lastly, it is absolutely fine to be nervous. Nervousness is just an indication that you actually give a fuck.

Have fun.

make sure you're looking goooooooooooooooooooooooood.

and don't be nervous, just be yourself, a girl hates seeing "his prince" weak or nervous. Try not being too harsh either.

Stay calm, but cool

Take that bitch roller skating.
And pay for her skates.
And buy some pizza(If your local roller skating place don't got pizza then it ain't worthy unless of course it has like fried chicken in which case we're cool)
And make out with her.

I only had one rule back in the days: don't do anything that requires you to keep the conversation up and be interesting the whole night. The less talking you have to do, the better. Picking up a few home movies would for instance be a good idea, taking her out for dinner not as good.

I don't think many of the gbatemp members are greek.

Have you not seen the things we argue about on a daily basis?

I said greek not geek.

Not really, dating is pretty much the same game no matter what the gender.
By which I mean, there really is no difference in dating whether it's between two people of the same gender or different gender. The intentions and or affection is still the same.
But guys generally like different things than the average girl. For example, the average guy is more interested in video games and computers than girls. That's why you find more guys on forums like this. There are girls who are into that stuff (which is awesome) and guys who aren't (not so awesome IMO) of course.

@Zantigo
Keep in mind that confidence is very important. While I think I am reasonably attractive (I've had a couple girls give me their numbers without asking), I have extremely low self confidence. I am almost 23 and have yet to go on a date. My self-confidence issues are mainly a result of having quite a few health issues, most importantly epilepsy. Despite being a mild case (I don't thrash around or anything, it's similar to sleep-walking) I can't drive, and probably never will be able to. I also live in Oklahoma, which is pretty spread out (so walking isn't an option unless I just want to go to 7/11) and doesn't have public transportation. The fact that I have to ask a family member to drive me around is pretty depressing.

Anyway, other than that, I can't give any advice on dating, but I've had several girls (girls who are friends) tell me that I need to work on self confidence, because it's really important.

Edit: I've revealed a lot more about myself than I normally would on the internet. I hope you will all have the decency to not make fun of my conditions or treat me different in any way.

Zantigo, you're only 16, it's very unlikely that this date will spiral into anything serious, just have fun.

My advice to you is to go see a therapist, they can help tremendously with your self-confidence issues. You're 23, still at your dating prime, don't give up yet.
