But guys generally like different things than the average girl. For example, the average guy is more interested in video games and computers than girls. That's why you find more guys on forums like this. There are girls who are into that stuff (which is awesome) and guys who aren't (not so awesome IMO) of course.
I am talking about the bare aspects of dating not the content of the date.

make sure you're looking goooooooooooooooooooooooood.

and don't be nervous, just be yourself, a girl hates seeing "his prince" weak or nervous. Try not being too harsh either.

Stay calm, but cool
If someone is prone to nervousness, saying "don't be nervous" is the worst thing you can do. All this does is increase the nervousness as they now think something is wrong with them for feeling this way.

As I said. the best advise is the nervousness is completely natural and is just an indication you give a toss.

I was just pointing it out, not criticizing.

An example:
"Wrettcaughn criticized pyromaniac123's use of the word criticism."

I can confirm this being that I am actually an extremely shy person and can get nerves rather easily from time to time.
Someone telling me not to be nervous, is the worst possible thing I want to hear, because then I am going to think about it and that is going to ruin it.

whatever. just be calm, be a man. let her be the one who needs to be protected and shit, not you. OP

If this is your first date, congratulations. I suggest you be yourself. Taking advice from us is just making you not really who you are. Accept yourself how you are, and she needs to accept you as you are too.

I just want an idea of what to expect, so far it is helping me build confidence ill tell you that.

Ask personal questions on GBATemp.
We can help... but we won't. :tpi:

On a more serious note, just be natural. You shouldn't stress out too much - "stage fright" is your biggest enemy, ties a knot on your tongue and makes you say the silliest things. Just relax and take it easy - be yourself and things will go fine.

As far as what to do...just go to a movie and get a bite to eat. Don't go too crazy trying to be romantic or anything. You guys are just getting to know each other.

As far as how to act...act like yourself. If you put on a front you'll be stuck maintaining it until the relationship is over. There's no need for any added stress in trying to keep secrets...

Anywhere you can talk a lot really. As someone else said don't go to see a movie, that's more of a second or third date kinda thing (at least the way I see it)

The main issue is awkward silences, just try to think of things to ask when that happens in advance because you can never quite seem to think of anything at the time. People find it easy to talk about themselves when asked. Try not to ask questions you can't answer yourself (for whatever reason) as they will almost certainly ask you the same thing.

Now, I never even considered awkward silences happening on my first date (at a cafe when I was 12) and they did happen but it never ruined it, it actually went well. It was her first date as well although she was a year older. Keep in mind the other person is probably just as nervous.

And a kiss is enough at the end, don't even try anything more than that. Even if you are of age.
