Okay thanks. So ill probably go with the lower version 3ds. Additionally I will get a game which is on a list that states it will upgrade my 3ds to 4.4./9.2. For example Rayman Origins or Fantasy Petz for 4.4.

So first I get my Console's OTP, and after that I can either go to 4.4 or 9.2? Ill buy the according game ofc. So 9.2 would be the better choice right?

they said they have a flash cart (right? @ArevReloaded ) so they can use the DS profile exploit on 4.x. so the browser not being updated should be fine.

you can't actually run the homebrew launcher on 4.4, not even with ninjhax 1.1b due to the browser being too old.

you would use something called rxTools pasta mode + sysUpdater as cia to go to 9.2.0-20.

Browser OTP is for 2.1. I believe it only works on that firmware.
So you can either buy a copy of Cubic Ninja (expensive) or get a game with a 4.x or 6.x update on it (cheaper) and update the 3DS using that, but you will need a DS flashcart to install the mset exploit once on 4.x or 6.x.

This happens occasionally, but the reason is unknown. The buttons will still work, but the screen will be glitched looking.

1. Follow instructions as normal
   1. Press select and arm9loaderhax will be installed
   2. The console will reboot

Yes, you can. In fact, you have to--Cubic Ninja is the only known method of getting the OTP on that (short of upgrading to 9.2 and then downgrading to 2.1). Use the Plailect guide.

Note that this is not Ninjhax; it's a special Cubic Ninja method that directly gets the OTP.

Also, THE ORIGINAL POSTER SHOULD KNOW THIS. If you have 2.2 and you want to get the OTP, you will need Cubic Ninja. He didn't say he has Cubic Ninja, and none of the people telling him to get the 2.2 because of the OTP bothered to mention that this won't do him any good unless he has Cubic Ninja. So he's probably going to end up buying it and find that he's nothing he can do (except upgrade to 9.2 and downgrade to 2.1, which is no easier than doing it with the other machine).

I installed Cubic Ninja on it and tried the tutorials with many tries but OTP.bin file never created on the SD.
Is it because of running Cubic Ninja from SKY3DS? What do you think?

Yes, this is the tutorial I followed. I tried all qr codes, reformatted sd and 3ds. Only 2.2 qr restart my system, other codes are freezing. *my 3ds is EU version.

ok, i solved. i created an empty otp.bin file on the sdcard and voila! it was there
