Homebrew What steps do I need to take exactly to be able to use a save editor?

I have a never-been-modified11.2 N3DS XL, and I can "use" Soundhax.

I'm assuming for now that I'll need that Fasthax thing everyone's waiting for before I can do anything more, though.

I don't need/want to do anything fancy, just to use a save editor like JK's.

I don't need links to applications. I can find those as long as I know what it is I'm looking for, which is why I just want to know what steps it is I have to take.

Running HBL, go to JKSM, extract/import save files. It is a save manager after all..

Yeah, I realized after poking around a bit more that I was really over-complicating the matter for myself.

I have it working now, though. Thanks for the comment regardless.

I can open JKSM just fine, but it opens right to a menu asking me to export or import saves. Nothing about 'targeting' a game.

Is there something I missed along the way?

Edit: Never mind, I had a folder in the wrong spot. It works now.

I have one other question if anyone sees this.

What application would let me hex edit while playing a game, or rather, how do I go about doing that?
