Yeah but it's nice just in case something happens I.e. broken sd cardCan't you just copy and paste everything to the new SD card?
hello I was wondering if I could get a sd card bigger than 128gb or even if that was to big for the sd card speeds on the 3ds....
I have the old 3ds,
and a r4i gold plus with the switch from nrt and wood because I am cool.

Update I have the new 3ds now that is some much better, and any one with a old 3ds they are bad!
I am getting a big card, I'm going to try to load it up emulator wise this should be fun. test out retroarch and fun PSX stuff.
I've had four cards for my 3DS. The one it came with was 2 or 4gb? Then 32gb, 64gb, and now I've been on a 128gb for the longest at well over a year, I believe.
Is there a slow down on the 128gb one?
If you are buying SD cards from Amazon, Sandisk 128GB is best bang for your buck in terms of cost/price ratio.
the slow down really is only when you start up the system and it loads all the many many tiles/pins. That takes a moment and that's really more due to it having to scan all directories on your sd card and their contents to load up those little icons. These small read/write operations have always been kinda slow on flash storage.
Loading up a game might take a second longer, but ingame loading times are pretty much the same no matter what. The 3ds sd card reader isn't the fastest anyways, so it never made use of the potential performance of any sd card anyways.
The convenience of all the games in one spot beats that second at startup (especially now that a certain homebrew stopped working)

the 200 and even 400 ones have been falling in price recently too. at least in germany, you could get a 200 one at ~40€ and a 400 one for 90€ recently.
I have a 200 GB in mine, but I also intend on having a definitive library + a number of injects. Keeping the 300 title limit in mind, a 128 GB card was actually not big enough for me.
There's a way to get around the 300 limit pretty sure it uses a script in godmode 9, but from my understanding you only need one card for itNot sure how much space I need I read somewhere about a 300 limit?
I’m not sure what emulators work good on 3ds?

you swap between two sets of titles if iirc
I wouldn't say so, just read the instructions carefully and you'll be goodHow do they run I have new 3ds it’s rhat better than retro arch or homebrew emulators? Have u any links that I could learn about them?

If it’s not a lot of work or hassle might consider using it?
