Get a PSP if you're interested in PSP/PS1 games + SNES, NES, GBA, GBC and various other emulators you can play whenever you want.

Don't get a PS Vita or a 3DS until better games come out.

Buy a PS3 if...I dunno, if you like PS3 exclusives?

Buy a 360 if all of your friends have a 360.

Buy a Wii if you want GC games and some Wii games I guess. And some cool homebrew and emulators, too.

My vote is for a PSP.

hmmm

you want something powerful? Well PS Vita is great although you need a game to hack it(A specific PSP game which can't be downloaded anymore or at least the version with the exploit in it)

Also the Vita does not have too much games and there is a dark future T-T

Playstation 3 maybe?

Or wait till next gen consoles ^^

If you want something you can soft mod i suggest the OUYA.
With your left over money (It only cost ~$100) you can buy a huge stack of games for it.

A) There's only like... Final Fantasy III and OnLive coming to Ouya so far.
B) Ouya games are free
C) Why would you waste money on an Ouya? If you want a good hobbyist device you can get a Raspberry Pi for around $35. Its very barebones and such but it's fun to play with (I got one recently from my dad)

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't blow the money immediately, I always end up blowing all the money I get and then, next thing you know, something comes up I want to buy and I've got nothing to buy it with. At least save a sizable chunk for spending money.

@SylverReZ, why are most scams from mid-east countries?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, I've reported the domain directly to their registrar so that they can take action. ;)

@SylverReZ, so their only way of getting money is thru scams?

    @Xdqwerty, Exactly.

Why not they just mine Monero instead of scamming vulnerable people? If they have a decent machine they can hit a jackpot at any given time.

Bitcoin on the other hand, requires a very powerful mining rig and is more costly.

Technically, cryptocurrencies aren't illegal, as long as you don't use it for criminal activity. If you sign up with an exchange, and that they get a tip from law enforcement, they have the right to freeze your assets.

@SylverReZ, Yea I heard law is vastly different there
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Nigeria's central bank did make crypto illegal before, until last year they lifted the ban. Always make sure to check before you exchange. ;)

@SylverReZ, speaking of crypto i remember reading about a guy who spend like 10 grand bitcoin on a couple pizzas (when bitcoin wasnt as worthy as nowadays)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's mental. If he had saved up when Bitcoin sky-rocketed in price, then he might've become the next Jeff Bezos for all I know.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, he couldnt know the price was gonna skyrocket anyway
