Hacking What is RxTools Dev Mode?

I just need to make absolute sure before attempting to update my SysNAND to 9.2U via a cia. What is RxTools Dev Mode? Is that an entirely separate thing from "Launch rxMode in SysNAND" or are they essentially the same thing? I am on an O3DS XL without a hardmod.

Yes, it's seperate. Which version of rxTools are using? I believe 2.6 removes that option but it's there in 3.0 alpha and 2.5.2 I think

Edit: don't launch rxmode, look for that option

Dev Mode is an entirely different thing, it's the only way to update your sysNAND safely using sysupdater.

Attempting to update in "SysNAND rxMode" will brick your 3DS.

As mentioned above you'll need one of the 3.0 builds to access it.
