Hacking what is RCM PAYLOAD ? (total NEEWWB)

I keep seeing this "RCM PAYLOAD" on my shopping recommendation quite often recently but i don't know what it does ??

what can this device do to my switch ??

When hacking your switch you need to inject a payload from RCM using a PC or an android phone. A payload injector does the same thing simply by plugging it in to your switch.

if your Android phone comes with a jig, then yes.

You still need a jig at least once to enter RCM. After that you can turn on a feature called autoRCM and you wont need a jig anymore. You'll still have to use your android phone or some other method to send a payload everytime you boot the switch tho
