Dude, I dont lag on 7Mbit/128Kbit.
Your upload is fine, upgrade your download, makes it easier to download legal things, like freeware and betas.
but i upgraded my download speed like 2 days ago... and im still lagging.

so i think i should upload my upload speed.
would that be a good idea?
or will it not effect lag at all

If you can encrypt it and route it out of a different port (an VPN would be perfect for this and they are popping up like proxies it seems): some ISPs anti torrent provisions are heavy handed which can kill game speed.

Lag is more ping than bandwidth dependant. Upgrading [the bandwidth] won't do any good.
Perform some ping test on various (especially Microsofts) servers, try upgrading your routers firmware or connecting directly to the modem (without the router). A speedier connection won't help at all.
