ROM Hack What does AP mean???

Anti-piracy, which is coded into some games to discourage people from pirating it.
 
"AP" means "Anti Piracy" is a hack-proof thing put on games in order to make them unplayable to people who pirate the game. Its usually broken within about a week or two depending on the game. (DS Games at least)
 
I felt its worth adding that the AP is always thwarted and I honestly don't see why they even bother anymore

As far as NDS ROMs go it usually means Anti-Piracy. That is a method to combat the widespread piracy that exists on this game system among others.
