-_- i see it everywhere but don't know what it means...
Anti-piracy, which is coded into some games to discourage people from pirating it.
"AP" means "Anti Piracy" is a hack-proof thing put on games in order to make them unplayable to people who pirate the game. Its usually broken within about a week or two depending on the game. (DS Games at least)
I felt its worth adding that the AP is always thwarted and I honestly don't see why they even bother anymore
So they can tell people who invest in them and the companies that produce the games "Hey, see, we're trying!"
In networking it means access point
As far as NDS ROMs go it usually means Anti-Piracy. That is a method to combat the widespread piracy that exists on this game system among others.
I can only see this thread going offtopic from now on so I'm closing this up. If you want this to be opened again, feel free to contact me through PM and I'll see if it can be arranged.
