Currently, my most prized possession is my top loader NES with dogbone controller that I got for AU$30 brand new, in a clearance sale, back when the stores were making shelf space for the at-the-time latest thing from Nintendo: the N64!
Also have a Playstation, an N64 (with RAM expansion pak), a gameboy colour (purple case) and my beloved black DS Lite, of course.
Before my house was burgled, I also had:
- a very well worn but much loved SNES with
every accessory available at the time.
- another N64
- another Playstation
- a limited edition silver gameboy pocket (including clear plastic presentation case, with space for the console, 6 games, 4 spare AA batteries and headphones) I still miss this unit, even though it's 10 years gone.
- an original style collector's edition Gameboy with clear case.
- Many, many games, some of them imported at great expense.
Saddest thing of all is, the scumbags that stole it all probably had no idea how rare some of those items were. In total they got away with over $2000 worth of gear (that's 1990s retail value).
Only good thing is, they missed the top loader NES because it was stashed under some old clothes at the bottom of a closet.
