Hacking What can I do with a hacked 3dsxl?

I recently got a 3dsxl that is on firmware 4.5.0 and what was wondering what I could do with it. Are the only hacks for it based on flashcards and are they only for playing 3ds roms? Would ds flash cards work with ds games on a 3ds?

At the moment the only thing you can do is play ROMs, and you will need a 3DS flashcart like the Gateway for that. Homebrew is being worked on and there are already some small proofs of concept like Tetris and Pong, but nothing too noteworthy. And yes, a DS flashcart will work for playing DS roms and homebrew as long as it supports 3DS 4.5 or higher.

Which ds flashcards support 3ds? Is 4.5 a required firmware to use these flashcards?
