Hacking What(b9s/luma) files need updated before update console?

I have a reason to play my 3ds again (a certain EO game is coming from amazon) but havent used it in ages and no idea what files need updated (since the game likely requires latest update)


3ds is running b9s and luma.
settings atm state 11.6.0-39U (in case its important and also a timeframe of last time i updated xD)

1. Update luma to the latest version
2. After that, update your firmware. And you are safe.
