Title says it all... I'm 99.99% it's a fake/scam but wanna check
IF it IS genuine... I need a way to contact Twitter to tell them they have a HUGE cock-up in their system

Anyway... I've been getting an Email supposingly from Twitter

Hi, {username}.

Please confirm your Twitter account by clicking this link:

Once you confirm, you will have full access to Twitter and all future notifications will be sent to this email address.

Now I've done the usual 'checks' (I haven't clicked on any of them) & the first link in the the email point to
http://twitter.com/account/confirm_email/{username}/B2D88-D376A?utm_medium=email&utm_source=validate_email&utm_campaign=twitter20080313004044
and the second points to http://twitter.com/help/ - Which, if I am correct, are the 'proper places' for Twitter

> I've looked @ the header & there's no 'cc:' there - there's just my Email adddress

> And looking @ the 'received' lines I have

Which I've checked the IP address and get
CODE
IP addressÂÂÂÂ128.121.146.152
HostnameÂÂÂÂÂÂmx003.twitter.com
ISPÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ NTT America, Inc.
CountryÂÂÂÂÂÂ United States United States
Which all seems above board but...... why do I think it's a fake/scam ???

1) The {username} isn't one I've ever used
2) I've recieved ~6 over a period of days, & each time the {username} is different
3) I've never even thought of joining Twitter

So can some one confirm if this IS what you do get from signing up to Twitter & if so HOW do I contact them (other than signing up which I don't want to do) to tell them of their mistake
