Hacking Weird bug

Hey guys,
I'm using a R4SDHC with WoodR4 1.27 but I wanted to move from my US pokemon white to a french one. got it to boot but when I start a battle, the lower menu is unavailable. You can't do anything with it. This is very weird. I did some searches but couldn't find anything.

Some thoughts?

Update to wood 1.29, and redownload the rom. The save file is interchangeable between regions, so just copy the .sav, and rename it to the same name as the French game.
