Is there one website with a collection of custom icons for homebrew and ps1 games?
I searched on google and found very few

Also, since I have 6.20 PRO-B5, how to install custom boot sound for my psp?

Make the backgrounds yourself and customise the eboots.

Use a CTF to modify the coldboot.

Finding EBOOT packs is hard at this point. Really, really hard. You'll also find that most games never even had a pack made for them that you can no longer find. Your best bet is to go out of your way to make some custom EBOOT pictures. I'm sure there is a guide out there for the exact size that each image needs to be.

If you do that you'll mess up your PSX saves if you use popsloader.

The ICON0's of those are unlikely to be 80x80, therefore if the PRO team have popsloader set up the same way DAX did any saves made on a pops over 3.72 will probably yield the Alucard save image.

Or obviously Gagarin is right about ICON0's for PSX games....although a quick google will give you an indication.

People should read those stickies really.

EDIT: And yes most of them have those preview with sounds.

Thanks man. I usually Googled for whatever game I needed an image, but that didn't always work. It was quite cumbersome, didn't like it that way.
That link you gave me (and generally this thread) really helped me, I've bookmarked both.

Even the one on qj.net is absolutely littered with dead links and deleted pictures. Many of those games are only very popular ones, or of a personal preference too. Good luck finding them for everything you may want to play. Also, I almost never got sounds when I got them from that thread. Maybe you just got lucky with one or two uploaders. Most don't seem to bother from my experience, or the sound is included in the preview file.

Also, I can confirm the Alucard save image using images I got from that qj thread too. I saw it with my DWVII save and had to do a double take.

Just change the ICON0 to one which is 80x80 and it'll be fine.

One more question.
What tool I can use to edit psx pbp?
I got double disc chrono cross but I want to make it look like my other psx games (sony startup screen) but don't know how?

Any eboot creation utility will do for editing eboots. For example PSX2PSP 1.4.2.

The firmwares from 3.80 and up have pops' that utilise the different sized, smaller icon. Which is why you use 80x80 so that icons are fine across any pops you access (and save on). If you never use a pops version above 3.72 by all means use the wider icons.

As Terminator02 says, it's not popsloader but the pops you're using and the icon0's of the games which determine if Alucard pops up.

Oh, that's why all my PSX saves have Alucard on them

Eh, it's not like it matters anyway, I'd personally rather have full icons.

Anyway, I know for a fact I've got the images I used to make my FF7 EBOOTs, and might be able to find the ones I used for FF8 and 9, if anyone's interested.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
