QUOTE said:i use the same my book essentials and if you go to Western Digitals official website then click on downloads...next click your drive on the bottom right (with the green circle led light) then you will see a WD FAT32 USB Format tool...DOWNLOAD IT AND RUN IT...then after you have formated to FAT32 the wii can read it...next format in WBFS USING USB LOADER 1.1 NOT A WINDOWS GUI TOOL......now your drive can be read : P BTW partitioning causes random code dumps after playing a game so long (i tried it both ways with this drive i used nortons partition magic pro to split the drive partition into 2 drives then formated the first drive to fat32 and the second to WBFS...while it DID WORK (the app pics it up and lets me install games) my compatibility was MOST DEF BETTER aft5er REformating using the WD tool BACK to a single fat32 drive partition then formattting THE WHOLE HDD to WBFS....The result is even IOS249 patched and PAL games are working a treat on my 3.2u only 3 games shit out...deadly creatures.....red steel...metroid prime 3....and thats on the loader not our hdd as everyone is finding these REQUIRE a disc in the drive
I have found with our external (I use the same 320 wd my book for this usb loader) Maximillions Wbfs Gui V2 works perfectly for extracting...injecting...drive space info....ect (remember when extracting an ISO to put the ID of the game in the box and extracting will work fine on that drive as well (the only reason you or I have to use this is the channel making feature (witch at the moment does not work ironicly due to POOR CODING according to a google search the missing module could have to do with OCX (active x) issues as well only debugging will help this app
So just wait on using this and grab the one that I PROMISE YOU works perfectly for a My Book Essentials WD 320 Gig external (with the green circle right? ) try maximillions gui v2 its the best so far at least for our drives

My drive works perfectly with my Wii even it was NTFS the first time i plugged in the my wii, it has been successfully formatted WBFS. The message "USB Drive not detected!" appears on my PC screen when i try to use WBFSMAN ! and all the other wbfs tools i found works well with...
But you are right on a point : it is the one with the green circle^^

Windows 7 Ultimate beta (Build 7000)
64-bit
I first had to manually register "msflxgrd.ocx" - navigate to "C:\Windows\System32", right click on "cmd.exe" and select"Run as administrator." At the command prompt, "regsvr32 msflxgrd.ocx" should do it.
But when running "WBFS Manager.exe" I get the "Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range" error.
I can also confirm that Maximillions windows front-end for "wbfs_win.exe" works perfectly on adding/extracting/listing/etc on my system with a 120 GB Wester Digital drive.
Thanks for your efforts on this; I'm sure that it's only going to get better!
