I apologize if this is in the wrong spot, but I was wanting to know if there's some way to remove the black lines from the Pokemon in xy, oras, etc. I've seen it done in citra and I wasn't sure if it can be done on the actual console itself with NTR cheats or something.

What black lines are you referring to? I've only seen graphical errors on ROMS unless your cartridge contacts were corroded or dirty.
This user is talking about the outlines currently visible in all of the Main Pokemon games on the 3ds.

Either ShinyQuagsire or ApacheHunter is working on cheats to remove the outlines from the main 3ds pokemon games

Yup no idea what you guys are talking about Lol. I guess it's normal to me if ALL the games are like that it's supposed to be there? I thought he was referring to an actual graphical malfunction...

Like this. Note the lack of outlines on the models.

Yeah, I know they're supposed to be there but I think it looks better without them so I'm looking for a way to get rid of them.

Yes. Exactly this.

Oh okay! Yeah I would have to agree, it looks 100x better.... I just never thought there would be a reason to go sans outlines haha. Neat!!

here:

Someone was asking about a no-line code for Citra so I asked someone more familiar with Gateshark to try doing a thing and this works apparently. Should work on hardware too.

Code:
[DISABLE OUTLINE]
0037E46C E3A02000
0037E470 E0800101
0037E474 E580209C
0037E478 E12FFF1E
0037D8AC E3A02000
0037D8B0 E0800101
0037D8B4 E580201C
0037D8B8 E12FFF1E
D2000000 00000000

EDIT: Fixed a thing

EDIT 2: OK apparently it *doesn't* work, idk.

EDIT 3:

This one is confirmed working, based on the patch @KazoWAR used
Code:
[No Outlines]
00297844 E320F000
D2000000 00000000

That's only available for the special Pokemon sun and moon demo right now, try checking after at least 2 days for the new cheats to be created for XY and ORAS...

My god the game would look AMAZING without those disgusting outlines generating jagged pixels everywhere.

Why do developers insist on stupid outlines? It's obviously in 3D. It doesn't look at all like a cartoon. It's time to stop.

If you want to do that permantently without using NTR, go to offset 0x197840 in the code.bin and change the bytes to

Code:
01 01 80 E0 00 F0 20 E3 1E FF 2F E1 70 40 2D E9

Is it possible for someone to create a code.bin that works with Luma?

I want a handheld gaming system with a tablet sized screen, like a 8 or10" screen, with controllers that can detach like the Switch.

I don't see the buzz about a square screen personally. I think there will be a review on the site within a few weeks though if you are interested.

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.

I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length

All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.

My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go

Ken unless the games are made for that screen size most suck on a screen that size... Having a square screen and being brighter and higher res helps but it's not a cure all, text is tiny bullets are tiny, your.... Well lol

You can stretch to fit probably it's not all bad that they make it seem to be
