I just got a n3dsxl and want to downgrade it. I looked up https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki and found with another cfw system I can do this since im on 11.0.033. Im not sure if my friends cfw old 3ds would work though as he uses homebrew to load into pasta to do what he uses it for. Any idea if I can continue the guide with that or if I need to modify it somehow to be able to use the exploit?

Thanks for any help

Get your friend to update to luma3ds. It should be okay, but you will want to create a new NNID on your friends console (using a new emunand). That way, they won't lose anything. While that is happening however, you should backup all your saves for installed games.

His cfw 3ds is his old system so he doesnt really care about the NNID or it being backed up. Emunand isnt installed on it however, I dont see it on the homebrew menu atleast. I understand pasta as just patching the sysnand to allow cia games to be played. Do I just need to install emunand and try to go from there or?

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
