Complete noob here, I don't even have a 3ds but gonna get one soon, been reading about 3ds hacks all day, still confused, now, is it in my best position to look for 10.7 version 3ds and buy it then buy ocarina of time and datel powersave and use the oot3dhax? None of this hack require hardmod or a 2nd 3ds or any other 3rd party device, right? thanks

I have no twlnand installed for reasons you can find on the 5th page of this fourm and I'm waiting for someone to update fbi with slowhax so I can install my twlnand back into my system and downgrade my n3ds using the tutorial here https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-little-guide-on-the-new-waithax-slowhax.452871/#post-6918619 but, without a twlnand makes my n3ds black screen whenever I boot up a dsiware title or a ds cartrage..

What you can download twl nand as a Cia? Never knew that, if the file is legit signed if should install fine with fbi but how exactly did you destroy your twl nand without having access to any high level hax?

I didn't destroy my twlnand.. I simply took it out of the n3ds when trying to install the nitrohax custom twlnand and I got sidetracked with wanting to install a9lh that I booted on my n3ds and I thought I needed to have my emunand on the latest update so I went into system settings and I updated... the system restarted without menuhax activating and I wondered why and that moment I realized I had updated my sysnand to 11.0... I was so angry at myself for doing something so stupid... and as a result of that, I couldn't boot up ds carts or dsiware because of not having a twlnand...

and if you look at the latest update of fbi, it has abilities to back up/restore twlnand

Lol m8 that's fbi for cfw users are you forgetting this only gives you arm11 kernel execution rights? You can only do what the arm 11 kernel svcs can do but twl nand flashing is definitely not one of their abilities.
Your chances are looking grim, looks like the only way you can possibly downgrade is to factory reset(maybe?) /re-flash with recovery mode (will be on 11.2 thought) or hard mod of course

If its running 11.0 or lower you can use browserhax on it and no extra game required

Its amazing when you compare the 3DS hacking scene to Vita's. Is tough security or lack of interest likely the bigger reason behind the lack of Vita ISO's being playable after all these years? I can certainly appreciate the lack of interest. The lack of great exclusive content, particularly first party related, is disappointing.

nope... ninjahax works on 11.0+

I'm pretty sure it goes all the way back to 2
1 so it won't matter what version your 3ds is on unless you get a 3ds with 11.1 then you will need a game and 11.2 is hopeless case without a hard mod

What? Just use DNS u or titledb DNS if you are afraid of getting an update, this is only a precaution not a requirement to use homebrew launcher. Once you get your 3ds simply visit the auto browser hax site and it will bring you to homebrew launcher in a pinch
