Hello,

If i start my wii preloader loads.
System menu wont work and hbc is not installed.
I cant syncing my 2 wii remotes because it wont work with preloader.
I got a gamecube controller and i need a homebrew application with gc support.
This application gives me my systemmenu back.
Could anyone create wadmanager with gamecube support or anyregion changer?
Or do you know other homebrew applications who support gamecube controller and help me with my wii?
PLEASE HELP MEE

I'm getting the following error when compiling:

QUOTE said:
c:/devkitpro/examples/wii/arc/source/detect_settings.c: In function 'get_sysmenu_region':
c:/devkitpro/examples/wii/arc/source/detect_settings.c:238: warning: passing argument 2 of 'ES_OpenTitleContent' makes integer from pointer without a cast
c:/devkitpro/examples/wii/arc/source/detect_settings.c:238: error: too many arguments to function 'ES_OpenTitleContent'

Anyone know why I'm getting this error?

Can I ask why your system menu doesn't work? (As in: what did you do?)

What's this Wiimotes don't snyc in preloader issue? Could it be that the persons that encounter it didn't properly sync their wiimotes once with their Wii? I know this question sounds odd, but i know a few people that didn't do it and everytime they start a game they spend 2 minutes syncing the wiimotes manually.

Yes I think he had synced them with another wii and I did advise in another thread how to reset his wii sync "15 sec right?"
Then try sync them.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
