if you can run vWii, I guess we could follow method 3.

You'll need to use the same method you used to install HBC to vWii.
Do you have a retail Wii game you can use to exploit vWii ? if not, we will do with Wuphax, but it's a little more risky as it involved editing vWii NAND content from WiiU.

I'm not always online, and we have different timezone, so if I don't answer you, just be patient. or maybe ask @GaryOderNichts too.
He updated the guide to include the steps I was about to explain.

You'll need to follow the "Homebrew Channel not working".
https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-vwii-unbrick-guide-by-garyodernichts.528329/#HBL-not-working

put all 3 files on SD card first.
IOS58 v6432.wad
v58i.wad
boot.elf

if you have IOS236 installed then follow the "vWii cIOS 236" part, if you don't then follow the "vWii d2x cIOS" part.

Note for myself :
that's strange that the Injected channel method is not working.
you are the second user who tells me it's stuck on black screen. it should launch fine as it's not using any of the vwii files.
I don't know what's wrong. if someone know the reason, let me know.
I don't think I have any of those installed it keeps giving me an error and I'm using yawn

I you are right, I misread your post where you talked about slot249/50/51, I didn't see you uninstalled them too.

you don't have 236?
well, then you only have one solution : FTPiiU_Everywhere

My browsers hiccuping so I can't edit the last message sorry
Update: I've gave up and Hooked up my old Wii I'm still trying to replace it and fixing the vwii problems.but iam itill going to be just

Edit: easier to copy and paste as an solution maybe to future problems

Gamecube injects don't work like super Mario sunshine I really would like to get rid of this old wii and not even the Wii vc official injects work

Solution ideas:

1. I have a idea how can I backup the Wii u and the external hard drive and reset the Wii u console itself to it's factory state I have chbc so I'm wondering I want to keep everything

Ignore doesn't work for me

2. have an another idea I'm going to burn a Wii iso onto a DVD how do I do that so maybe I can do the Lego game exploits they shouldn't take up too much space

Update:
Not even the shop works

formatting doesn't really format, or restore the system. it only delete the setting and user account info.
if you have a messed up system, it'll stay like that after a reset.

WiiU can't read DVDR, so you can't burn a wii disc.
you need an official Lego game.
but it's not enough, you need the requred Lego game's IOS.
if for example, it require IOS53, but you delete or replaced it, lego game will not work.

if you don't have a disc game, you can use WUPhax method, but again you need the required IOS for Miimaker to be able to launch that channel on vWii.
does Miimaker work?

Yes miimaker works tested the modded version with yawn
I have an idea maybe mod ios 80 installer into mii maker then mod back yawn

there's no IOS80 installer.
There is a IOS80 patcher, but don't break things already working!

if miimaker vWii is working, then you can use WUPhax to replace the miimaker program with a elf booter program.
then from here, follow method3, but you need a cIOS !
I don't know if cIOS80 is enough to install channels. it should. so your idea to patch IOS80 is maybe good, you need AHB access and HBC working to launch it. so, you can't.

Without IOS58 and any cIOS already installed on your vWii, you can't use method3.

guess im really am stuck i have no nand backup is there a way to replace the ios using ftp with no nand

IOS, yes.
non IOS, no.

you can get IOS from Nintendo update servers with NUSD updated for vWii.
You don't get clean WAD file if you choose to pack the files to wad, but what you need is the unencrypted files, not the packed wad !

I don't understand what you mean.

Nintendo Update Server has not been taken down.
You need to use a tool (NUSD) to get the IOS you want from NUS.

like I said in my previous message, if you want other things (not IOS, like config files, message board, certificates, etc.) then you won't find them on NUS.
just buy a new console.

Hi somebody gave me their nand.bin do I use their keys or my keys to extract it?

The person that gave me the backup just gave the backup no keys encrypted so do I request the keys?

Well, their nand is encrypted with their keys, right? So just use their keys. (as yours won't work)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Ok thanks I will request the keys it seems I might finally get this fixed. I will report any problems like Nintendont inject not working or anything like that here.

I'm not sure if you can replace all files from his dump into your console.
some files might contain unique keys or crypto info, which will not work on your console. I don't know which files are fine or not to replace, but I'd just prevent replacing files which seems related to the system (sysconf, and files like that)
of course, before doing any replacement, even if currently not working, always keep a full backup of your current files so you can restore the needed ones later.

Well, what did you do correctly? You're not giving alot of details on what you've done. I'm getting the feeling you just do stuff without knowing what you do, making you problem bigger and bigger each time...

I deleted the nand folder replaced It with someone else's folder then I set the permissions I think I failed at setting the permissions everything seemed alright in CMD though but apparently not. And then it boots to a black screen. I directly used the wupserver script instead of searching for it through CMD i think that's the problem because searching for it gives a error.
