Hacking vWii - DBZ Tenkaichi 3 and Gamecube Controller Use?

Hi there. Sorry if this is a nooby question. I am quite new to the WiiU, but had a Wii before a few years back. I have made a backup of my Tenkaichi 3 disc as I really wanted to play it again. So I got out my Brawl and applied the Smash Stack exploit and loaded USB Loader GX etc.

Now, I have the MayFlash Gamecube Adapter that I have been using with my Gamecube games via Nintendont. I understand that Tenkaichi 3 and some select Wii games are compatible with the Gamecube Controller. However when I plug the controller in to my adaoter. The controller is not working ingame. I backed out and loaded Nintendont to try a game also, seemed to work with no issues there. Am I missing something such as a simple trick or is it not compatible with the GC Adapters?

    If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction
