Hacking Vita - image as camera plugin?

My Vita Slim seems to be defective.
Any app/game using the camera throws an error.
Replacing the cameras didnt work either.
Has to be the board.

There was a plugin for the PSTV to use an imagefile for camera input, so games would work on PSTV.

Does anyone know if that works on a modded vita 2000?

Theoretically it should work, PSTV is just a Vita without screen.
