ive been reading up on the methods for installing homebrew software on a virgin 4.3, and i need some help clarifying a few things.

The first guide i read said to use smashhack or indianapwns to first load up the hackmii installer to install hbc/bootmii. The another one said that i must first use trucha bug restore apps before doing anything else.

Which is the correct method?? I just want to install bootmii & hbc, then the cios38_rev20.

Get the homebrew channel on first. Smashstack if you have a ntsc wii or Indiana if it's a pal one. Then go from there.

Every method I've seen for restoring the trucha bug is launched from the homebrew channel. That's why I said do that first then go from there, also give a look at modmii sticky at the top of the page.

I went through all the options on the modmii, and when its downloading the files, it freezes, always at different parts. Went through it a couple times.

i already have .net, and i did unrar it. It runs just fine, just when its downloading the files that ive picked, it will just freeze somewhere in it.

Try reading the guide

It tells you how to get the files...
