Hi sorry if this has been asked before but I'm trying to find out if theres a video player that'll play off of a usb stick or external hdd? I saw NX-Shell has a good video player but I cant find anywhere if it does what I'm asking.

Thanks!

No, there is none. There is currently no openly available way to read from usb media. Until then devs will not start implementing for it.

Thank you for the response. Sorry another question then - Would it be possible (using NX Shell I guess?) to transfer files from the USB to the switch/SD card directly without having to reboot each time I want to transfer the media files?

no, you cant

if the files are not that big, try ftp
EDIT: ok, apparently you can, but instructions are not clear
